Eat The Devon Way is a brand new food “destination”, being organised by passionate Food Producers from Devon, Yarty Valley, Hi-T`s Fudge & Langage Farm, along with Children’s Hospice South West and featured venues Lewtrenchard Manor, Arundell Arms and Harris Arms. The event will support the Children’s Hospice South West Precious Lives Appeal, and profits will go towards their fundraising to provide a third Children’s Hospice for the families from West Devon, the Plymouth area and Cornwall

The RAF Red Arrows Display Team have confirmed that they will be displaying again this year at the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta 

The Black Knights Army Display Parachute Team have confirmed that they will be displaying at the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta on , dropping into the River Dart at approximately 1300.

A new event at this year`s Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta will be a `Pensioners Crab Fishing Competition`.
The Pensioners have watched in excess of 200 children annually crab at Regattas over many years, and now feel it is time the `old uns` showed them how it is really done.
There will be a clock presented to the pensioner who makes the biggest catch, it will be known as the C.O. Jones Memorial Clock. This potentially `major` competition, sign in at 1000. entries taken on the day. Males 65+ Females 60+ bus pass or other proof of age may be required.

The Regatta heralds the first Regatta Octathlon.
This event will bring together 8 of the Regatta`s biggest sporting events: Open Whaler, Championship of the Dart, Pair Oared Race, Road Race, Freestyle Swimming, Darts, Trolley Race and Tug`O`War.
Octathletes will compete across these, plus a final all new Embankment Dash to determine the Men`s, Ladies and Junior Octathlete
It will be a gruelling challenge for all dedicated Regatta sports addicts.

The Flavel Centre is the venue in Dartmouth for a fantastic range of events the include, plays, recitals, films, music, comedy, art, etc and has facilities that include a library, cafe and bar.  Unfortunately we do not have enough room to list all of their events so please pop in and ask for a copy of their free monthly programme.
